Almost every article about this career quotes national figures: a median around $123,860, a top tenth above $224,340. Those numbers describe the country and misdescribe most individual states, sometimes badly. New York pays tens of thousands above them and Alabama tens of thousands below.

Minnesota is the exception on this site. The best completion record belongs to University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, which finishes 85% of the students it enrolls against 57% at the top of the list. It places 3rd rather than first because graduation rate carries 40% of the score and tuition, delivery and selectivity carry the rest. Ranked order and price order do not agree here. Minnesota State University Moorhead holds the top place, while the cheapest way into the field in Minnesota is Winona State University at $8,388 a year, $450 under the top-ranked program, and it still places 2nd of 11. 7 of the 11 run fully online, and the highest placed of them is the program at the top of the table, so the ranked answer and the distance-study answer are the same one here.

How We Scored Minnesota's Healthcare Administration Programs

Graduation rate carries 40% of the score, in-state tuition 25%, delivery flexibility 20% and admission selectivity 15%. Every input is federal IPEDS data or the school's own program page, and a program has to report both a graduation rate and a tuition figure, and still be enrolling new students, to be ranked at all.
